Emma George

Emma is an Associate at DEA Lawyers with more than 18 years’ experience advising clients on commercial disputes. She now specialises in construction defect claims and building contract disputes.

Emma is an experienced litigator who has represented clients in matters before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the District Court of NSW, the Supreme Court of NSW, Court of Appeal, and Federal Court, and is skilled in alternative dispute resolution processes.

In addition to her disputes practice, Emma has significant front-end contract expertise. She has advised individuals, SMEs, not for profit and large multinational corporations on project documentation, delivery and contract administration, and has significant experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing building contracts and related documentation.  In addition, Emma has extensive experience in internal and external debt recovery, including providing high-volume recovery solutions for corporate clients.
